Gem Apatite with Hematite Inclusions — Durango, Mexico
This is a high-quality thumbnail apatite crystal from Durango, Mexico, featuring distinct reddish undertones caused by fine hematite inclusions. These inclusions impart a warm coppery internal glow while maintaining good transparency.
The crystal is sharply terminated with clean, well-defined prism faces and solid luster, qualities that are especially important in Durango apatite at the thumbnail scale. Internal hematite contributes visual interest without overwhelming the crystal form, giving the piece depth and character under light.
Despite its compact size, this specimen presents as a strong thumbnail example with crisp form, intact termination, and attractive internal coloration.
